As a Kiwi company, our customers expect us to give back to local neighbourhoods, to support the things that matter locally and to make a positive contribution right across New Zealand.
Over the past seven years, we’ve donated over $7 million to local charities and organisations doing great things in their local neighbourhoods right across New Zealand.
More than ever we realise that the needs of our communities may differ from mere months ago and we want to ensure that whatever we do, it is right for right now.
While we understand that this news may disappoint some previous GITH community groups recipients, Z remains committed to supporting the wider NZ community and is not standing on the sidelines.
So far this year Z has provided a months’ free fuel to St John and the Wellington Free Ambulance along with supporting the Student Volunteer Army to provide meals to those unable to leave their home during lockdown, and most recently donations to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, helping those in need, and our work in keeping our communities safe through the anti-racism pledge.
Z is also continuing our support of the Graeme Dingle Foundation’s Career Navigator programme, in service of empowering young people to realise their full potential. As an organisation, we also continue to provide all Z Staff two paid volunteer days each year and encourage community groups that may require assistance through people power to contact us to see if we can help.
We now focus towards the 2021 Good in the Hood programme where we’ll be looking at how best we can assist our communities as we all face new challenges.
